Peregrine Academic Services and Peregrine Leadership Institute Owners Laurel Vicklund, Debbie Robbins, and Olin Oedekoven accepted the Corporate Builder of the Year award from Gillette College on October 24, 2016 during the Gillette College Foundation dinner. The award stems primarily from Peregrine’s ongoing financial support to Gillette College, located in Gillette, WY. Two years ago, Peregrine committed to a $100,000 grant to Gillette College to fund the development of an applied research/entrepreneurial center for the College’s business program.
Since then, Peregrine has helped establish an advisory group to oversee the funding and the contributions have sponsored several student initiatives. In November 2016, Peregrine’s contribution will finance an entrepreneurial/business development weekend for Gillette College students. Additionally, Debbie and Olin have helped the Foundation Board with strategic planning and organizational development.
Olin shared this regarding Peregrine’s philosophy on giving back. “As owners of the companies, we believe quite strongly in community support and the active involvement of team members in their own communities.”
Peregrine Leadership Institute and Peregrine Academic Services together employ 30 people, with nearly half of them working remotely outside of the Gillette, WY corporate office.
Gillette College is part of the Northern Wyoming Community College District.
