Steve Mount has served in The US Army and worked in the mining industry in Southwest Wyoming. With nearly forty years of leadership experience, he has held positions ranging from first line leader to executive level positions.
Steve first enlisted in the US Army in 1974 and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1984. During his service he commanded at all levels- from company command to his last position as the Army Commander for the Wyoming Army National Guard. He has also served in key staff positions to include serving as Fire Support Coordinator for US Forces- Iraq in 2010 and Eighth Army Wartime Deputy Commanding General for Operations in Korea from 2013-2016. He retired as a Brigadier General in June of 2016 after serving for over 40 years.
He is a proven leader with extensive knowledge in management and leadership at various levels.
Steve has a BS Degree from Liberty University and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College in Carlisle, PA.
Steve worked for FMC Green River for 24 years in a wide range of positions before retiring in order to become a full time Guardsman in 2002.
