Clifford A. Knesel, Jr. has over 25 years of experience at all organizational levels, from union representative through first line supervisor; mine manager, to vice president. He has worked in the private sector and possesses a comprehensive background in management and leadership.

Cliff's strengths lie in designing, implementing, managing and improving the following areas: leadership, training and development, labor relations, organizational development, continuous improvement, and safety. Past employers include Exxon Minerals Company and Peabody Energy's Powder River Coal Company, which is one of the largest and most productive coal operations in the county.

Cliff's background in human resources, safety, and training covers a wide spectrum of disciplines including property acquisitions, succession planning, EEO and affirmative action plan development, labor relations, salary administration, management development, organizational development, handbook design, safety program development, and mine start-up and closure.

His most recent assignment was Vice President and Director of Safety and Development Training, and Employee Relations with Powder River Coal Company.
