Objectivity 
Each assessment item (soft skill) corresponds to a close-ended, 5-point Likert scale rubric. The rubrics concentrate on the exhibited behavior of the participant rather than personal characteristics.

The action plan makes their results actionable by highlighting strengths to sustain, weaknesses to improve, and establishing a timeline and person to hold them accountable.

Over 200 Soft Skills to Pick From


Customization

EvaluSkills includes a database of over 200 distinct soft skills, each with a standardized rubric using a 5-point Likert-type scale, which improves the objectivity of the assessment. The skills are organized into what is called an instrument report that contains the skill and corresponding rubric. You can create specific assessment instruments, typically including 5-20 separate soft skills. There is no limit to the number of assessment instruments you can have to assess various groups.

EvaluSkills includes several pre-built assessment instruments. You can also customize an existing instrument or build a new instrument by leveraging the depth of the EvaluSkills’ database. Soft skills rubrics are entirely customizable and can be implemented into a specific instrument. All assessment items include the option for written feedback.

    The sample instrument report shows a comprehensive view of how the assessment works and a selection of rubrics that correspond with specific skills. The instrument report will vary depending on the topics chosen to build a specific instrument.

The Pre/Post Evaluation Approach


Employers and schools can choose how often and when they will assess their students and employees. The most common practice is a pre/post-test approach to assessment.

In this approach, participants complete the assessment early in the program and then again towards the end of the program. The comparison of pre and post evaluations shows the growth and change of a group or individual over the time of program. A detailed analysis of the evaluating results is used for evaluating program effectiveness.

 

Reports that Promote Growth


Participant Reports

Participant reports allow learners to gain a comprehensive understanding of how others view their strengths and opportunities for improvement. For each competency, participants can compare self-scores against the scores given by external evaluators. The comparison shows learners where they might have a blind spot related to how others perceive them. The quantitative data and qualitative comments assist learners in creating an action plan to sustain strengths, mitigate weaknesses, and hold themselves accountable. The learner also uses the Participant Report to build an action plan for self-development. Participants can also use the Participant Comparison Report for a side-by-side comparison of multiple assessment periods.


Group Reports

Group reports provide information about the overall strengths and development areas of an organization, program, or cohort. This information can be valuable in planning curriculum changes or identifying the developmental needs of your group. Additionally, use pre- and post-tests to measure improvement in workplace skills and how your program has influenced the development of those skills over time.
